The Vivitar 820HD Pocket Camcorder Reviews Well in this in depth analysis. Coming from a line of low end hd video cameras the 820hd rises above earlier models. As compared to the Vivitar 810HD Review we did recently, it is definitely an improvement.
The features of the 820 are similar to the 810. The difference is in the vertical body style versus the horizontal body style, the quality of the hd, and some added features.
The most notable feature and the definite selling point versus its horizontal brother is it shoots in the standard 30 frames per second HD video. 810 shoots in 20 fps, which is basically a fopah.
Other noteworthy features included a fast electronic shutter, a 5 or 10 second self timer, and HDMI out support to hd compatible tvs.
Fortunately it supports SDHC cards up to 8gb, and for this model is a sufficient size, even though 32gb would be preferred.

PROS: 30fps 720p high quality video, great 8 MP digital camera, and HDMI support
CONS: Poor 4x digital zoom, no sequence shot support, only 8gb card support
LAST THOUGHTS: An improvement over the 810hd, this better camcorder has the great features of a digital camera, with a strong video quality support. At such a cheap price it is a cam powerhouse.
