The Kodak ZxD is a new HD pocket camcorder from Kodak. This camcorder is cheaper than the zi8 and zx3, and provides similar to better performance. Read the Kodak Zxd Review.
The cheapest camcorder in Kodak's new line of video cameras, the zxd replaces the zx1 and zx3, but is a lower consumer camcorder than the zi6 and zi8. This camcorder is a major improvement upon its predecessors, with more features and slightly better quality.
Kodak has surprisingly made a camcorder that competes with the Flip and Aiptek video cameras that dominate the pocket camcorder market. In a 3 way test, the Kodak beat out both camcorders in indoor situations. In other situations, the Kodak beats out the Aiptek, and is about equal with the Flip Ultra HD.
The ZxD jokingly plays upon the powers of 2's with a 2x digital zoom, 2 inch LCD preview screen, uses USB 2.0 transfer technology, takes 2 "AA" batteries, and allows up to a 32 gB SD/SDHC expansion slot. This expansion slot allows up to 10 hours of video recording in high definition.
